At present, Director,INCSW Secretariat, Central Water Commission is the Member-Secretary of INCSW.
The INCSW Secretariat presently comprises of a Director, a Deputy Director and supporting staffs.
For meeting the expenditure of INCSW Secretariat, budget is provided by Ministry of Water Resources in each financial year.

International Co-operation

India is the founding member of International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage (ICID) and Indian National Committee on Irrigation & Drainage (INCID) was representing India in ICID. In the year 2012, INCID was merged in INCSW vide MoWR order No. 18/30/2011-R&D/1478-1502, dated 15.06.2012. In the order dated 15.06.2012, under the function of this committee (INCSW) at point No 7 following is mentioned:

“To promote and co-ordinate effective participation of India in the international programmes related to Surface Water and to act as national committee for such international bodies where required.”

Accordingly, INCSW is now representing India in ICID as National Committee.
