1. What type of data is available with you?

Ans: The Hydrological data availability depends on type of Hydrological Site i.e Gauge, Discharge, Sediment, Water Quality, Silt factor, HFL data, Max observed Discharge, Max observed velocity and river cross sectional data etc. We have established different sites at various locations in Krishna River Basin, Godavari River Basin, east flowing river Gundlakamma and West flowing rivers in between Ulhas and Madei. Based on the type of site, the data is available since inception of sites to May 2014.

2. What is the procedure and charges to get data from your organisation?

Ans: You may submit a written request addressed to the Chief Engineer, Krishna Godavari Basin Organisation, CWC, Hyderabad mentioning the locations/stations in river basins, the type of data, period and purpose for which data is required. In response to your request, the approval of the competent authority will be intimated along with media charges for supply of the requested data. There are no charges for the data but in general, charges of Rs 50/- will be levied towards media charges. After receipt of DD for Rs 50/- drawn in favour of The Executive Engineer, Lower Godavari Division, CWC payable at Hyderabad, the data will be supplied in soft copy (CD) in Excel format through Speed Post. If the file is small, the data can also be sent to your given mail ID.

3. To whom data will be supplied?

Ans: The Hydrological data will be supplied to all State/Central Government Departments, all Educational Institutes/Universities/Research Institutes, Public Undertaking / Private Organisations, NGOs and individuals.

4. To whom do I contact for any clarification?

Ans: You may contact the Deputy Director, o/o CE, KGBO, CWC, Hyderabad.

5. How much time will take to supply the data?

Ans: It depends on the procedural aspects. Normally it will be supplied with in a 7-10 working days.
