Functions of Monitoring Directorate

Functions of Monitoring Directorate:

The Monitoring Directorate is looking after the following works:

  • Monitoring of major/medium irrigation projects under PMKSY-AIBP by visit to each project twice a year and preparing the status report on their physical and financial progress.
  • Monitoring of major/medium irrigation projects under CADWM programme by visit to each project twice a year and preparation of status report thereon.
  • Scrutinizing and recommending new/continuous proposals for Central Assistance (CA) of major/medium irrigation projects under PMKSY-AIBP.
  • Scrutinizing DPR of CADWM proposals.
  • Scrutinizing and recommending release proposal proposals of major/medium irrigation projects under CADWM programme.
  • Monitoring the Data in Project Monitoring System.
  • Representing CWC on the Project Level Environmental Management Committee meetings.
  • Compiling quarterly physical/financial progress reports of all irrigation projects under monitoring.
  • Scrutiny of Monthly/Quarterly Physical/Financial reports of AIBP and National Projects and submission to the Chief Engineer (PMO) and Chief Engineer (PPO), CWC, New Delhi.
  • Dealing with inter-state issues between Maharashtra and adjoining States whenever referred.
