March 22, 2018 : On the occasion of World Water Day 2018, Central Water Commission under the overall guidance of MoWR, RD & GR organized a seminar on theme "Nature for Water – Exploring Nature-based Solutions to Water Challenges" on 22nd March 2018 at CWC Auditorium, New Library Building, R. K. Puram, New Delhi. Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Hon'ble Union Minister of State for Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation and Parliamentary Affairs was the Chief Guest during the plenary session of the seminar. The seminar was attended by officials of various Central Organizations namely, MoWR, CWC, NMCG, CGWB, NWDA, CSMRS, IWP, Amity University, CMS Vatavaran, INTACH, EU Delegation to India, ICID, various Academicians etc. Various nature based solutions for water challenges were deliberated during the seminar.
